Call for Workshops

The success of the next ISPP symposium in Basel, Switzerland will be strongly influenced by the workshop topics. The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of workshop proposals to be presented at the 12th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain.

The goal of workshops is to present evidence to highlight controversies or further a defined area within the field.  There will be a number of workshops spread over three days of the conference, ideally, but not essentially, consistent with the theme of the meeting.

The submission of workshop proposals has been closed.

Notification letters will be sent out by the end of Ocotber 2018.

The following criteria and procedures will apply:

  • No other way of delivery, other than through the online system, will be accepted. Please enter your Profile account, choose "Workshop submission".
  • The proposal must be submitted in English.
  • There should be no more than 3 speakers (including the moderator). If the presenting group decides to include a fourth speaker, then it must be a trainee or junior professional (within 3 years of training completion).
  • Note that speakers proposed for your workshop should have agreed to participate.
  • Any individual speaker may be included on a maximum of two proposals.
  • Moderators will be notified about the selection results. They are responsible to liaise with their speakers – inform them about the results and remind them that they should have travel plans that allow them to arrive on time.
  • Proponents are kindly requested to inform the speakers that no financial support is provided by the organizers to workshop participants, and that registration fee is not waived.
  • It is the responsibility of the workshop organizer to insure that these conditions are met.  The SPC reserves the right to disqualify workshops from further consideration if these limitations are not observed.
